In-Home Care

In-home care that lets your loved one stay home.

A trained caregiver comes to the home on a regular schedule to help with the daily tasks that have gotten harder, so your loved one can stay safe, comfortable, and independent.

What In-Home Care Includes

Every care plan is built around the person. Depending on your loved one’s needs, a Bella caregiver can help with:

  • Bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
  • Meal planning and preparation, including favorite family dishes
  • Mobility, walking support, and safe transfers
  • Medication reminders
  • Laundry and light housekeeping
  • Companionship, conversation, and keeping a familiar routine

How Care Hours Are Decided

For Medicaid-funded care, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) completes an assessment and authorizes a number of care hours based on your loved one’s needs. We then build the schedule with your family and match a caregiver who fits your loved one’s personality and home.

The Right Match Matters

We don’t just send whoever is available. We consider personality, communication style, schedule, and what will make your loved one comfortable. If the match isn’t right, tell us and we’ll fix it.

FAQ

Questions Families Ask Us

Who qualifies for Medicaid in-home care in Missouri?

Your loved one generally needs active MO HealthNet (Missouri Medicaid) coverage and must meet functional eligibility determined by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. We can help you understand where you stand.

What if my parent doesn't have Medicaid yet?

Call us anyway. We’ll point you in the right direction for applying and explain what to expect so you’re not navigating it alone.

Can I choose or change the caregiver?

Yes. We match carefully from the start, and if your loved one isn’t comfortable we’ll work with you on a better fit.

Can a family member be the caregiver instead?

Yes. That’s our Consumer Directed Services program, where an eligible participant chooses their own caregiver, often an adult child or other relative, who is then paid through Medicaid.

Let’s talk about your family.

One phone call. No pressure. We’ll explain your options in plain language and help you figure out what you qualify for.
